FURNISHINGS

A CONTEMPORARY OCCASIONAL CHAIR WITH FOOTSTOOL
Looking for an opening bid of $80, Closes Tuesday
An ideal, dedicated scrolling chair.

AN ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU BRASS AND MARBLE NIGHT STAND
Looking for an opening bid of $350, Closes Tuesday
If you are looking to step up a passive aggressive campaign of hate on your co-sleeper, the noise this drawer looks like it will make when you open it in the middle of the night seems like it should do the trick nicely.

AN ADREU 4 PIECE MODULAR SOFA
Looking for an opening bid of $1,200, Closes Tuesday
This looks a bit hostile when they put it all together, but if you kept the pastel apricot section separate or slotted it next to the right-angled end piece before the curved sections I feel like it could be a very nice lounge sofa set. Although it could use a couple of carefully chosen cushions.

FASHION

FUR BOWLER HAT
Current bid $20, Closes MondayGoing as one of Magritte’s businessmen is an easy win at any fancy dress party with the only hard bit about it being finding this very hat.

A PAIR OF CUTLER AND GROSS SUNGLASSES
Current bid $35, Closes Tuesday
A quite nice pair of straight-arm tortoiseshell sunglasses.

AN ANTIQUE TAXIDERMY ARMADILLO BAG
Looking for an opening bid of $100, Closes Tuesday
If you are young but unremarkable and trying to make a splash in the art scene, you need something like this.

OBJETS D’ART

ANTIQUE BONE & BRASS OPIUM SCALE
Looking for an opening bid of $10, Closes Tuesday
Reject modernity, embrace tradition.

GERALD KELLY SAW OHN NYUN PRINT
Current bid $15, Closes Monday
GERALD KELLY SAW OHN NYUN PRINT
Current bid $50, Closes Tuesday
I have never seen this image before in my life and to have it come up twice in two Mt Auction houses in the same week seems extremely suspicious to me. Definitely either some sort of coded communication between a spy and their handler or a glitch in reality itself.

A VINTAGE TRIXIE RADIO
Looking for an opening bid of $50, Closes Tuesday
I’m certain this Austrian radio from the late 1960’s sounds like shit but it is extremely soothing to look at.

A LOT OF ORIGINAL CONCORDE CARRY ON ITEMS
Looking for an opening bid of $120, Closes Tuesday
This is cool!

A COMMERCIAL ‘TAKEAWAY’ LIGHTBOX SIGN
Looking for an opening bid of $250, Closes Tuesday
If you’ve been considering starting a video podcast where you share your edgy opinions on a variety of topics I suggest you call it TAKE AWAY and use this for the name, the logo and the set dressing.

ROBERT MULDOON MONEY BANK
Current bid $280, Closes Monday
Add some spice to your savings by doing it with one of the least fiscally prudent New Zealanders of all time.

A VINTAGE STAUNTON CHESS SET
Looking for an opening bid of $300, Closes Tuesday
I love the pieces in this vintage Staunton set but the lack of contrast in the board tiles seems destined to cause trouble.

ANTON PARSONS, HEAVYWEIGHT
Passed in
Clean, lyrical Anton Parsons sculpture, which rarely come up and are even harder to find at this scale. If you’re interested at all, it passed in looking for $1000 and you could pitch up an offer of $500 and see if it got you anywhere.

GAVIN HURLEY, DEALING
Passed in
These businessman works are my favourites of Hurley’s and Webbs has had a couple of goes at selling this one but to no avail. If you want it I think you could put in an offer around $1000 and see.

TAXIDERMY PEACOCK
Current bid $1250, Closes Monday
Statement piece.
